Design Chic Diva was created by Caroline Marie in 2008. It was originally named Caroline Marie Design. Caroline Marie is a graphic artist, illustrator and writer. She always loved all kinds of art. Her designs capture the sublime- the beauty of all that life has to offer- but also confronts the obstacles one must overcome on the path to wellbeing, peace, and enlightment. Her work can be edgy and shocking and can confront the viewer with a new outlook on what they are trying to convey. It offers this complex perspective on life with the hope that it will open the minds of those who observe her images.
She has worked with various companies on design projects, some of which included illustrated books and t-shirt designs. She has worked with Secrets of Traders and her illustrations will be featured for their "All the Freedom in the World" project. She worked with 7 Wcked Vrtues on a line of t-shirts . She also launched her new apparel and product line called"Pinups with Voices."They will be featured in the February 2010 issue of RustQueens magazine.She also is a columnist for magazine.
Her Stonehenge and Buddah designswere featured for the cover designs of the September 2008 and May 2009issues of The Monthly Aspectarian. Caroline also writes a column for Examiner.com.
She has attended The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Columbia College in Chicago for fine arts and graphic design. Pinups with Voices
They say a pretty girl can brighten up your day, my pinup girls will intoxicate your mind. Some of the pinups are about feminism and some have a kind of morbid sexuality to them. Theyre not your usual pretty and sweet pin up, but they do still have a sexual prowess to them. I wanted to do something out there that a lot of people haven't seen before. Some people think its kind of dark, some people think its just bold. I like to make people interested, thats what Im looking for.
